Finally TiVo owners get what they've been waiting for – the TiVo Mini. Despite the TiVo name, this isn't an individual DVR. The TiVo Mini allows you to watch content from your DVR on another room in the house that’s connected either by Ethernet or by MoCA.
‘Schinder’s List’ may be one of the most powerful movies of all time, and one that personalized the Holocaust in a way that no film had done before. It wasn’t just skilled directing and acting that made this movie as good as it was though – Spielberg met with Holocaust survivors and listened to their stories, incorporating all of that into the film. Spielberg wants to make sure everyone can share in that and learn firsthand from people who were there, and so has founded the IWitness project.
There’s no question that we want 4K content, but there’s quite a bit of debate about just how we’re going to get it. Some opt for the disc-based methods that have served us thusfar while others prefer to go with streaming. Streaming seems the most consumer friendly method since there’s no need to upgrade your whole collection, but internet connection speeds have to be up to the task.
We've come a long way when it comes to streaming video, but we're not where we need to be yet. Still, a study by Rovi Corp shows that 25 percent of Americans surveyed described the video streaming quality on their smartphone or tablet as excellent. Outside of the US, it was under 20 percent.
