MartinLogan has just announced the introduction of the compact new Montage floor standing loudspeaker featuring ATF (advanced thin film) transducer technology, ultimate crossover design, high-excursion, high-resolution woofers, curvilinear wood cabinetry, and dipole radiation. In addition to ATF transducer technology, MartinLogan’s design team developed the Montage utilizing woofers and cabinetry based on the MartinLogan Clarity and Mosaic loudspeakers. The innovative, high-performance Montage excels as a stereo main, home theater main or effects channel in a myriad of room sizes and configurations. The Montage is supplied with toolless binding posts for effortless cable attachment and management.

The new Diva Utopia Be is the latest model to join Focal-JMlab’s Utopia Be range, and combines the technologies of the Grande Utopia Be with a slim-line floor standing cabinet design. Focal-JMlab has been continuously developing the Utopia Be range since the introduction of the Grande Utopia Be reference model in September 2002. Versions launched to date have included the Nova and Alto floor standing models, the Micro stand mount and the Centre Utopia Be. The new Diva speaker has been designed to fill the gap between the Alto and Micro models. The design goal was to produce a model with a similar small footprint and the sound characteristics of the Micro models and to create a model with a similar small footprint and the sound characteristics of the Micro Utopia Be while adding deep and dynamic bass.

B&W Loudspeakers has just unveiled a new line, the 700 Series. The new series includes five models with surround- and center-channel designs as well as two new active subwoofers, all of which incorporate technology developments. The new B&W lineup ranges from the floor standing 703 and 704 and stand-mount 705 pairs, through the HTM7 center-channel model and the adaptable DS7 dipole/monopole surround speakers. The result is a variety of loudspeaker models that can be combined in numerous ways to satisfy a wide range of system needs (and budgets), while retaining reproduction quality. Each of the 700 Series’ fresh designs spring from a handful of key B&W technology refinements, largely derived from the firm’s Nautilus loudspeakers. The new range features B&W’s unique, shaped cabinets with a one-piece multi-ply, sloping top and baffle—a technique taken directly from the Nautilus series—that contributes to freedom from both vibration and internal acoustic reflections. Polk Audio has just announced the complete re-design of the RTi Series product line. The new RTi products feature all-new drivers, tweeters and contemporary cosmetics. The two top towers feature "Power Port Plus," the latest enhancement of Polk's patented Power Port venting technology. There are five models in the range, three floor-standing, and two bookshelf, all offered in either Cherry or Black Oak real wood veneer finishes. They Feature all-MDF construction with extensive asymmetric cabinet bracing for resonance-free enclosures.

AKURATE is a new high performance multi-channel loudspeaker system from Linn. AKURATE consists of four distinct, acoustically matched loudspeakers that can be configured for passive and active playback to deliver pitch accurate stereo or multi-channel sound for high performance music and home theater. Three of the AKURATE loudspeakers are full range: the AKURATE 242 floorstanding loudspeaker; the AKURATE 212 compact loudspeaker and, the AKURATE 225 center channel loudspeaker. The fourth AKURATE loudspeaker is the 221, a pitch accurate, active servo controlled bass reinforcement loudspeaker. AKURATE loudspeakers deliver wide bandwidth and high resolution and produce the signal performance now possible with new reference standard source and control products designed to take advantage of the new high definition sound and vision formats.
