Waves Ltd. has launched its latest processor, the MaxBass 102, using a proprietary DSP chip in order to create the illusion of extended bass response. The MaxxBass improves bass response with no need for extra amplifier power or loudspeakers with more excursion capability because it does not use the traditional bass boost technology. Instead, the processor uses the same, patented Waves technology used by other companies like Altec Lansing, Sanyo and Sony to enhance bass impact without distortion or damage to speakers.
