THE AFFAIR OF THE NECKLACE (Warner Home Video) is a 2001 drama, based on a real incident, in which a French noblewoman (Hilary Swank) trying to reclaim her title attempted to pull off a complicated swindle involving Marie Antoinette (Joely Richardson) and a highly-placed cardinal (Jonathan Pryce). Simon Baker and Adrien Brody also star; Charles Shyer directs. Aspect ratio is 2.35:1; sound format is English 5.1,with English, French and Spanish subtitles. Extras include audio commentary by director Shyer, two making-of featurettes, additional scenes, an outtake reel, cast and crew highlights and the theatrical trailer. MPAA rating is R.
