The UNIDISK 1.1 player automatically recognises all major Audio and AV optical disc formats, uniquely configuring audio and video playback. Using Linn’s SILVER DISK ENGINE™ technology, the UNIDISK 1.1 player automatically recognizes and optimises playback for two-channel and multi-channel Super Audio CD (SACD), CD, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, and more. The UNIDISK 1.1 incorporates a comprehensive range of video outputs including Progressive Scan, Interlaced, Component and DVI incorporating HDCP encryption. For added versatility all video outputs carry a constant signal, enabling concurrent use of several video playback devices.

A new processor platform supports surround sound playback of external analogue and digital sources. The Classik Movie Di is an all-in-one total entertainment system and an alternative to audio and video separates. The home entertainment industry experienced another record quarter shipping 231.7 million DVD titles to retail in the first three months of 2003, a 93 % increase over shipments in the first quarter of last year. According to figures compiled by Ernst & Young on behalf of the DVD Entertainment Group, the total number of units shipped in North America has reached nearly 1.6 billion since launch. Blue Note Records sought 5.1 Production Services expertise to produce the DVD Norah Jones, Live in New Orleans following her eight Grammy Nominations. Surround mixing, compression and authoring were all performed at 5.1 Production Services studios in West Los Angeles. The goal was to have the DVD available at retail worldwide on shortly following the Grammy Awards. In addition to music mixes for DVD, 5.1 Production recently completed a variety of surround mixes for Paramount Pictures box office hit, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
