Panasonic
Automotive Systems Company of America announced that Panasonic branded
DVD entertainment systems will be available as optional,
factory-installed equipment in twenty 2004 GM models; up from 14 models
last year. The Panasonic systems, including a new sunroof-compatible
model, were chosen by GM for their performance, flexible design,
innovative features and ease of operation.
Panasonic DVD
passenger entertainment systems were introduced in GM's 2003 model-year
full-size SUVs, full-size pickups, and crossover vehicles. This year,
for the company's 2004 model-year vehicles, the Panasonic system option
has been expanded to mid-size SUVs, as well as the all-new Cadillac SRX.
