THE BLOB (Home Vision Cinema) is a new edition of the 1958 horror classic starring Steve McQueen, directed by Irvin S. Yeaworth, Jr. Aspect ratio is 1.66:1; sound format is Dolby Digital 2.0 mono. Extras include an audio commentary track from producer Jack H. Harris and historian Bruce Eder; a second commentary track with director Yeaworth and actor Robert Fields, a look at BLOB collectibles and a special-edition poster.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2 (Paramount Home Entertainment), released earlier this year, is director John Woo’s kinetic, action-packed espionage adventure set largely in Australia, starring Tom Cruise as IMF master of disguise Ethan Hunt, Dougray Scott as his nemesis and Thandie Newton as the woman they both love. The screenplay is by Robert (CHINATOWN) Towne. Sound formats are English Dolby 5.1 Surround and French Dolby; visual format is widescreen, enhanced for 16x9 screens.
