Accurate Imaging Technologies has just introduced the Accurate BR-5 and Accurate BR-7 DLP HDTV Projectors. Compact models more accessibly priced than Accurate’s CRT-based projectors, the BR-5 and BR-7 employ digital technology to deliver an enjoyable Home Theater experience. Both are HD-compatible and have contrast ratios of 2000:1 for image clarity.

Marantz has just announced the introduction of its VP-12S3 High-Definition Projector featuring DLP technology, a high-end video display device that includes upgrades from the VP-12S2. The VP-12S3 incorporates Texas Instruments HD2+ DMD chip and other refinements to provide superlative high-definition DLP projector performance, along with a host of useful features that offer exceptional installation and calibration flexibility. The Marantz VP-12S3 is designed to deliver extraordinary video projector performance in every respect. It uses the latest Texas Instruments 16 x 9 high-definition HD2+ DMD chip in conjunction with a newly developed 1280 x 720 pixel panel and advanced DLP™ technology to deliver improved sharpness and color accuracy, with 700 ANSI lumens brightness and a 3800:1 contrast ratio. The projector also uses a new 200-watt DC lamp, which delivers higher, more uniform brightness while minimizing the flicker that can result from AC-type lamps.

Runco just introduced four new additions to its projector lineup, based on Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing technology. The new Reflection Series CL-710 and CL-510 and long throw models CL-710LT and CL-510LT incorporate Runco’s new GEN 3 technology, engineered to make more use of optical light engine design. Runco takes advantage of TI’s latest HD-2 widescreen high definition DMD chip.

Vidikron has just introduced two new projectors incorporating Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing technology (DLP). The Vision Series Model 40/40ET and Model 20/20ET projectors deliver picture quality and professional features for home theater applications without breaking the budget. The Vision Model 40 and Model 40ET use TI’s latest 16:9 native HD-2 DLP chip technology. The entry level Model 20 and Model 20ET also offer the latest 16:9 widescreen DLP technology and incorporate engineering innovations and a host of professional features not typically found in projectors in this price range.

Effective immediately, SIM2 USA has announced a new warranty program for the HT series and RTX series. The new programs includes a two-year parts and labor and one year lamp warranty for any Grand Cinema HT DLP projector and one year parts and labor and one-year lamp warranty on the Grand Cinema RTX. “In 2002, SIM2 instituted service procedures should there be a need to repair or replace a DLP™ product. For the benefit of our dealers we have procedures that ensure their display projector is always in top condition,” stated Dan Drook, VP of SIM2 USA. “Improving our warranty program is the next step in the process to demonstrate to our dealers that we not only stand behind our products but we support them in their effort to keep their customers satisfied.”
