InFocus Corporation was recently selected by Eastman Kodak Company and Cinema Screen Media (CSM) to provide three-chip Digital Light Processing (DLP) digital projectors to bring high-definition clarity to pre-show entertainment programming.

Optoma Technology announced the availability of its next-generation, high performance digital projector for home theater enthusiasts. With an MSRP of $9,999, Optoma's H79 delivers clear digital video, rivaling the cinematic experience in today's movie theaters, according to Optoma. The projector is available today through Optoma's network of CEDIA Channel Resellers.

Vidikron is adding two new single-chip Digital Light Processing projectors to its product line-up which will be available later this month. The new Vision Model 25 and Model 45 feature single-chip DLP engines, and offer custom installers expanded flexibility in installing a quality home theater system.

Runco has announced a partnership with the NextGen Home 2005 Project, and in turn three Runco products are featured in four NextGen homes. The VX-2c Projection System, the CW-42HD flat screen plasma monitor, and the CW-50mc widescreen display monitor will be showcased in the four separate NextGen homes, which will tour the United States throughout 2005. The first one makes its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in January; the second one at the International Builders Show a week later; then the third one at the National Association of Broadcasters Show in April, and finally the last one at the Kitchen & Bath Show in May. Each NextGen Home will feature a slight different variation on the theme of showcasing the most advanced, cutting edge technology in home building and home entertainment installations.
