Runco, among the leading companies dealing in luxury home theater products, announced their new Video Xtreme VX-33d and VX-33i projectors. The VX-33 projectors feature a three chip DLP light engine with 1080p SuperOnyx DMD as well as Runco’s proprietary video processing and scaling.
Vivitek will be entering the CE market with the world’s first 1080p LED DLP home projector. Unveiled at CEDIA UK, this LED-based unit can output 800 ANSI lumens, deliver Full HD resolution, and has a projected lifespan of 20,000 hours.
Samsung’s SP-A900 front projector is set to surpass its high-end predecessor, the SP-A800, in terms of video quality. It features extensive input from Joe Kane, the creator of Digital Video Essentials who is known for his attention to detail and relentless pursuit of digital picture quality.
Samsung has added several new home theater AV projectors to its lineup, the A400, A800 and A900. All of these projectors are able to create a wide-screen image that draws out color from their expanded palettes, and their brightness is increased by 50 percent over their predecessors.
The PDG-DHT100L professional class, DLP projector from Sanyo has just been added to their lineup. This projector features a dual color wheel design to enable brighter and more vivid color, 6,500 lumens of brightness, compatibility with 1080p HD signals as well as an Active Maintenance Filter to reduce maintenance calls and keep dust out of the lamp.
