CEDIA is almost upon us and that means plenty of exciting and new high-end home theater components. Among the initial announcements is an addition to Runco's LightStyle line in the form of the LS-10d and LS-10i projectors.
Runco is the number one provider of luxury home theater solutions, and they were the first to offer THX certified projectors. It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise then that four of the new projectors Runco offers have received THX certification.
A new 3D ready DLP projector is available from ViewSonic. It was designed for both corporate and home theater use in mind. The PJD6531w offers support for both NVidia 3D Vision and Texas DLP Link technology.
The Oscars are a few weeks away, but the technical awards hit over the weekend. Among the non-televised recognitions for technical achievement was an award that went to the DLP Cinema Team for excellence in color accuracy.
The name Porjectiondesign will be familiar to a lot of home theater buffs. They’re a Norwegian company that’s obsessed with being first. They made the first commercially available 1080p DLP projector, the first WUXGA resolution DLP projector and now the first projector that relies on a remote light source.
