PopBox is the First Over-The-Top Box to Add 3D Support
Over the top solutions like the Roku player and Apple TV started as basic as they come, but new players like Boxee and PopBox have been pushing the boundaries.  PopBox scored a coup today when they announced that they'll be the first to bring 3D content to homes.

DirecTV's Whole-House DVR is Available Now
If you're a DirecTV subscriber, you should probably be excited about this.  The Whole-House DVR is one of the coolest things to happen to TV in a while. If you go with the Whole-House DVR, you'll have a single DVR for your home.  It handles recording and playback for the entire house.  If you're in a room with a DirecTV box, you'll be able to schedule recordings, and play back recorded shows just as if you had the DVR in the room.

More Customers Cutting Back on Cable and Satellite
Just a few days after a Nielson study that revealed that around 14 percent of HDTV owners don't have access to HD cable or satellite signals, Yankee Group has announced the results of a survey on cutting cable.
