Toshiba Announces a Pair of Blu-ray Players
With all the 3D hype going around, it's a little refreshing to see a company releasing standard Blu-ray players.    That's not to say the Toshiba BDX2500 and BDX2700 don't have plenty of features though.

Kaleidescape Releases M300 and M500 Blu-ray Players
The idea of using the Kaleidescape system for Blu-rays is appealing, but the practical application just doesn't seem to be there. The M300 and M500 players are designed specifically to work with the Kaleidescape server for playback.  When connected to the server, they can play backed-up Blu-rays at full 1080p resolution, 24 frames per second, and with bitstream pass-through of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

NAD Introduces Fast Loading T577 Blu-ray Player
The T577 isn't going to blow your mind with a robust feature set full of widgets and apps.  As far as extras go, it's pretty barren.  NAD hopes that a solid construction and an assortment of strong playback functions will be enough to win you over.

Denon Announces Two New Blu-ray Players
It's a big day for Denon.  In addition to a total of ten new A/V receivers, they've announced pricing and availability for two new 3D capable Blu-ray players.  The two new models include the DBP-1611UD and the DBP-2011UDCI.

Avatar not Playing on Samsung BD-UP5000
'Avatar' is one of those movies that a lot of Blu-ray fans have been waiting for.  It's almost entirely digital effects that almost always look good in HD.  To add to that, it's using the full capacity of the disc, which means you're getting the best possible picture.  Bitrates are maxed and audio quality is at its peak.
