Integra, a company that produces audio-video receivers specifically designed for custom home electronics installers and systems integrators, has announced immediate deliveries of its first home theater receiver with HDMI 1.3a processing. The Integra DTR-5.8 AV receiver allows the end-user to exploit the advanced audio and video capabilities of high definition HD DVD players, Blu-ray players, Sony's PlayStation3 gaming system, and other advanced systems that fully implement the HDMI 1.3a standard.

Onkyo has announced four new THX Certified receiver models to be introduced beginning this spring, incorporating a range of high-end features and core performance improvements designed to deliver the highest levels of performance available. These new THX Certified Onkyo A/V receivers will feature HDMI 1.3a compatibility, including internal decoding for DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus. Each will also feature a sophisticated set of internal video processing capabilities, with two of the models boasting the first inclusion of Reon-VX HQV processing in an A/V receiver. Three of the new models, the TX-SR805, the TX-SR875, and the TX-NR905, each feature THX Ultra2 certification, while the TX-SR705 is THX Select2 Certified.

Onkyo has introduced the TX-SR605 A/V receiver, adding processing for the latest lossless multi-channel audio formats, comprehensive video up-conversion to HDMI, and compatibility with both XM and Sirius satellite radio programming to the impressive features of the TX-SR604 it replaces. The new model also features Onkyo's new HDMI-based system control capability, 7 x 90 watts of power, enhanced compatibility with the company's optional iPod control docks, and a flexible suite of multi-source/multi-zone capabilities.

Onkyo has introduced its newest THX home theater receiver as well as a new DVD player and DVD Changer. The Onkyo TX-SR804 THX-Select2 home theater receiver, DV-SP504 universal DVD player, and DV-CP704 six-disc DVD changer are now available at Onkyo dealers nationwide.
