Pioneer Announces 2015 Elite Receivers, Including $700 Dolby Atmos Model
Pioneer has revealed two upcoming additions to its Elite line of A/V receivers. The Elite VSX-45 5.2-channel receiver ($450) and the Elite VSX-90 7.2-channel receiver ($700) both offer integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity along with more advanced features for custom installation.

ATI Adds Auro-3D, Dolby Atmos & DTS:X Support for High Performance Audio Brands
ATI (Amplifier Technologies Inc.) has announced that it will be offering support for the Auro-3D format in several upcoming preamp/processors marketed under ATI's Theta Digital, ATI and B&K brands. In addition, the company has also announced audio components that will support the object-based Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound technologies.

Denon & Marantz Set to Offer Auro-3D Audio
Denon and Marantz announced they will be providing downloadable updates for select AV components that will add support for the Auro-3D audio format. The upgradeable devices will include the Denon X4100W ($1,299), Denon X5200 ($1,999),Marantz SR7009 ($1,999), and the Marantz AV7702 ($1,999). Each component also currently offers Dolby Atmos support.

Onkyo Dolby Atmos Update Now Available
As promised, Onkyo has launched its Dolby Atmos firmware upgrade. The free update is now available for the company's TX-NR636, TX-NR737, and TX-NR838 receivers through a network connection or USB download, just in time for the release of 'Transformers: Age of Extinction,' the first Blu-ray to support an Atmos mix.
