Runco DLP-3VXphoto
Synopsis of Product / Unique Features:
Using a source from a Syncor hard drive, Runco demonstrated the DLP-3VX Digital Light Processing projector with astounding footage from a football game shot in 1080i HD. This projector is the first "three chip" DLP projector capable of 1024 x 768 resolution, and it is the first of its kind to be multiple aspect ratio capable. This increase in resolution combined with its widescreen capability, improves contrast and black level performance. The DLP-3VX is also the first DLP projector that is fully HDTV capable.

In a demonstration conducted by Joe Kane, he showed the superiority of the 720p format over 1080i. It was quite clear how the line structure pops and breaks up with the interlaced pictures. Though lower in overall resolution, the 720p's progressive scan is far more stable, particularly with motion.
