Mark Levinson No. 32
 The latest reference preamplifier from Mark Levinson is designed with the same level of detail and precision that is the hallmark of their products. The seperate power supply keeps pure DC in one chassis, and won't interfere with the audio signal. The preamplifier guarantees a pure signal without any measurable crosstalk (-140dB) from the 8 inputs, of which three are balanced. Phono outputs are optional and cost an additional $2500.
 A fancy feature in the preamp is how it remembers the last setting from each source. The modular design ensures future expandability. The RS-232 port not only accomodates a touch-screen controller, upgrade software can be downloaded directly from Madrigal's website.

Mark Levinson 30.6
 This two piece reference processor offers 8 inputs (3 balanced, 3 digital and 2 analog). Like all Levinson components, a seperate power supply is employed to isolate DC. It is software based for future expandability. Owners of the previous version can contact their dealer for a software upgrade to the features of the new 30.6 for $4500.

McCormack RLD-1
Synopsis of Product / Unique Features: This new remote controlled preamplifier features remote input selection and control of volume, balance and muting. Pricing hasn't been finalized but it's expected to run between $1800 and $2000. Also the DAC2 will be available in April for $1495, owners of the DAC1 can contact their dealer for information about an upgrade.
