Key / Unique Features: The SD9000, which is both Dolby Digital and DTS compatible, features a 24-bit 196kHZ audio DAC and a 10-bit 27mHz video DAC.

Key / Unique Features: Sony revealed the very first wireless headphones to deliver Virtual Dolby Digital surround sound. Weighing only 10 ounces, the phones are very comfortable for long term wear. The phones emulate a range of 90 degrees with a 33 foot coverage.

Sony DVP-S330 and DVP-S550D

photoComments / Synopsis of Product: The DVP-S550D includes a Dolby Digital decoder with six channel analog outputs plus Digital Noise Reduction (DNR).

Key / Unique Features: The DVP-S330 is Sony's latest entry level DVD player and features an advanced DSP servo for better disc trackability. The text capability displays the disc name in the front panel window.

All Sony DVD players provide DTS passthrough. Several unique features are found on the DVP-S550 such as Bookmark, which memorizes users' favorite scenes for easy search, and picture memory which displays a still image as wallpaper during CD playback.

Panasonic DVD-A320

As expected for a DVD with so many features, component inputs are supplied.

Panasonic L50

Sherwood Newcastle R-626 and R-326 receivers

A DTS processor may be added with the unique 6-channel external direct inputs. This bypasses the digital circuitry except for bass management and tone control. The 326 employs most of the 626's features except for the Dolby Digital decoder. This unit was designed for use with DVD players incorporating Dolby Digital VMAX, which is included for virtual surround sound.

Technics SA-DX930 A/V receiver

The SA-DX930, like most of the new Technics receivers, incorporates class H+ circuitry. Class H+ circuitry ensures smooth, quiet and most importantly, cool performance, no matter how demanding the source material. Rather than a single power supply, or "rail," providing high power all the time, Class H+ incorporates two rails that share responsibility. The higher-powered rail kicks in only when needed, such as for louder audio passages, with no noticeable switching noise.

Technics DVD-X410

DIVX offers users the opportunity to rent special discs without the need for deposits or return. DIVX discs are not compatible with all DVD players, only those with DIVX capability.

The player incorporates high-end audio and video DAC's including a 96kHz 124 bit DAC for superior DVD audio performance. For those not yet in the game with a complete five channel system, the DVD-X410 provides virtual surround sound for a rear channel effect with only two speakers.
