Denon AVR-5700 A/V receiver
Synopsis of Product / Unique Features: The AVR-5700 from Denon may well be the most sophisticated and powerful Dolby Digital / DTS A/V receiver yet created. It is the first such device that delivers either rear channel information to dipoles for movies or direct-radiating speakers for music sources (i.e. DTS -encoded 5.1 audio CD's.) Moreover, it does this automatically, choosing the most effective rear channel speaker configuration. Several proprietary technologies went into the DSP and surround sound processing to attain a high level of sonic accuracy.
The AVR-5700 delivers awesome resolution with five premium Burr Brown 24-bit / 96kHz DAC's, anticipating the advent od DVD-Audio. The internal amplification delivers a high impact 140 watts per channel (x5). And finally, Denon has included a realistic number of digital inputs, no less than 9.
