Parasound AVC-2500 Synopsis of Product / Unique Features: This digital preamp / tuner is the first such all-in-one component from Parasound. It carries the THX Ultra moniker and includes both Dolby Digital and DTS processing.
To facilitate a quick set-up, a microphone is included allowing an automatic set-up of system levels and time delay. Another unique and welcome feature is the AVC-2500's switching capabilities. By starting any of your sources, such as DVD or Laserdisc, the unit will automatically switch to the proper input. There are two sets component inputs, which can be assigned to any product, and seven digital inputs (four coax, two optical and one AES/EBV). An RS-232 port is also provided.
