AMX -PHAST
Starting at $2499 PHAST is a hard wired, large color touch screen remote and multi-room control system that gives you the power to hit one button to activate your entire system. PHAST will accept between 16 to 64 inputs and has 24 IR outputs with expandability for those huge jobs. PHAST was certainly one of the top products of the show.

MSB
Winner of the best idea of the show, MSB's digital director manages and accepts up to six digital inputs while reducing jitter at the same time. You don't have to wait for your receiver or high end AV preamp to catch up with your system's new digital input needs, the $399 MSB Digital Director solves the problem properly and inexpensively.

Lexicon
Lexicon has always been on the cutting edge of new technologies, be it Dolby and THX surround decoders or touch screen remotes. Just released is the new touch screen from Lexicon entitled the 700T which will replace the groundbreaking 500T. Priced at $2000 the 700T is larger that the 500T with a more reliable RF control.

Adcom Another advancement at the show was The Ball from Adcom. For about $6500 Adcom has a Mac OS driven home theater, amplification, decoding and multi-room control system. While PHAST is for a more high end client. All you need with The Ball is a DVD player and other sources plus 5.1 speaker system. This product is going to be very desirable because of its high performance combined ease of use and programmability.

Hal 2000
Pick up any phone in your house, press # and Hal, a Windows 95 control system, will allow you to access climate control, outside weather conditions, turn on the washing machine or skip to the next cut with the CD in the changer downstairs, all by your voice commands. The system works on the X10 electrical system via your existing electrical system. Prices start as low as $399 for starter systems which makes it an amazing value.
