Bang & Olufsen

• Founded in 1925, the Danish company Bang & Olufsen was established by Svend Olufsen and Peter Bang.  Their primary work was with loudspeakers and radio technology.  

• Beyond their audiophile quality, all B&O products have a distinct design flair.  This results from the company outsourcing their product builds to a design firm instead of hiring designers for in-house work.  

• While Bang & Olufsen discontinued their separate component line, they still use elements of those designs in their series of loudspeakers.  Many loudspeakers use digital signal processing for frequency adjustment.
